Incumbent is responsible for performing all electrical repair work and preventive measures related to electrical installations, electrical equipment and wiring in accordance with the national electrical code. Is part of the emergency response team and the snow removal team and all other duties as required. Responsibilities: A day in the life of an Electrician Mechanic at Hackensack Meridian Health includes: * Repairs and maintains the Patient Intercom System. Repairs and maintains the electrical system. Repairs and installs motor controls circuitry. Installs lighting, switches, outlets and circuit breakers as per code. Maintains exterior lighting. * Operates and is familiar with all tools and testing equipment. Operates all tools and testing equipment in a safe manner. * Daily work order tickets are completed via the computerized work order system accurately and completely on a daily basis. Maintains equipment logs and reports accurately & completely. Works from blue prints, sketches and verbal instructions. * Other duties and/or projects as assigned. * Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior. Qualifications: Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: * High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), GED equivalent programs, and/or other Vocational degrees/certificates. * Minimum of 1-3 years experience in the electrical building trades. * Hand tools.
