As a Licensed Electrician, you will perform advanced-level electrical work with Plant Engineering to support the upkeep and operation of facilities. You'll work in an active hospital environment where attention to safety, collaboration, and professionalism is essential.

Responsibilities:
*
* Perform advanced electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations across hospital facilities
* Maintain and troubleshoot electrical distribution systems, switchgear, MCCs, generators, and transfer switches
* Diagnose and repair electrical/electronic systems, including A/C electrical components
* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
* Use testing equipment to ensure system performance, safety, and code compliance
* Support preventive maintenance programs and facility operations
* Collaborate with Plant Engineering staff and maintain professionalism in a healthcare environment
* Complete job responsibilities respectfully in clinical areas with patients, visitors, and clinical staff
Qualifications:
Education
* Two (2) year college degree in a technical science or trade, or equivalent work experience
* Completion of a three (3) year electrical apprenticeship, required
Experience
* Five (5)+ years of experience installing and maintaining commercial or industrial electrical distribution systems, required
* Healthcare facility experience, highly preferred
Licensure / Certification
* Valid city/county journeyman's card and/or state electrician's license, required
* Valid Driver's License in the state of employment, required
Required Skills
* Strong working knowledge of life safety, electrical, and building codes
* Extensive experience with electrical systems, equipment, and devices
* Advanced troubleshooting skills for electrical and electronic systems
* In-depth knowledge of emergency power systems, generators, and transfer switches
* Proficiency using electrical testing equipment
* Ability to read and apply electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team-oriented maintenance department
* Professional communication skills when working around patients, visitors, and staff
Preferred Skills
* Knowledge of mechanical equipment operation and repair
* Strong computer skills and familiarity with PC-based programs
* Ability to hear and recognize changes in machine or equipment sounds
