Overview: Our Facilities team oversees the offices we call home. We ensure our teams can connect, collaborate and innovate in a space built to support success. From securing our campuses to making sure our events go off without a hitch, Facilities is the human face of our company's well-oiled onsite operation. Responsibilities: EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for an Electrician in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position will be located at our office in North Las Vegas. Key Responsibilities: * Troubleshoot and test electrical systems including defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment using test instruments such as ammeter, ohmmeter, and voltmeter. * Complete daily maintenance checks and work assignments, general duties include installation of motors, transformer, lighting fixtures, cable tray and complete circuits according to diagram specifications and Blue Prints. * Complete work as required in a craftsmen like manner in conformance with requirements of local building and NEC codes as well as company specifications * Additional duties may include general building maintenance. * Typical Shift work Monday - Friday and may require some nights, weekends, and Holidays. * Required on call rotation support. Qualifications: Education and Experience: * High school diploma or general education degree (GED). * Current Journeyman electrical license. * 2 years Commercial and/or industrial experience Skills and Qualifications: * Excellent conduit bending skills. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. * Ability to write routine reports and correspondence using computer * Ability work independently and apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Essential Job Duties: * Must be able to lift 50 pounds * Must be able to sit, stand, crawl, and climb ladders for extended periods. * Must be able to work in all-weather environments, extreme heat, extreme cold, snow, rain noise, hazards and atmospheric conditions (fumes, odor, dust, mist or poor ventilations) indoors, and outdoors
