Responsibilities:
* Thorough understanding of Core electrical principles and the electrical code regulations NEC (National Electrical Code 2023) & NFPA (National Fire Protection Association)
* Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical/control systems in various settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial
* Diagnose and repair electrical problems, identifying the root cause of malfunctions
* Interpret blueprints and schematics to understand the layout of electrical systems and ensure proper installation
* Adhere to safety regulations and electrical codes to ensure all work is performed safely and up to standard
* Ensure the quality and reliability of electrical installations and repairs
* Communicate with Team and Leadership to understand their needs and provide updates on project progress
* Manage materials and tools needed for projects, ensuring adequate supplies are available
* Maintain records of work performed, including repairs, installations, and inspections
* Respond to emergency calls and assess safety risks while providing appropriate solutions
* Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of diesel and gas-fueled generators
* Responsible for recurring and special activities associated with interior and exterior (low/high tension) electrical systems and emergency power generators.
* Overseeing performance routine preventative maintenance tasks like oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks on generators
* Overseeing diagnosing, identifying root cause and fixing mechanical and electrical problems in generators
* Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
* Ensures preventive and corrective maintenance work requests are performed within established time constraints.
* Trains and supervises junior Electricians and Generator Mechanics.
* Uses a Computer Maintenance Management System (Maximo) to correctly capture data related to maintenance work orders, preventative maintenance inspections, and emergency/urgent customer requests.
* Uses a Tablet to track work orders, request material, add labor and material used against a work order.
* Firm knowledge of electrical equipment such as Transfer switches (MTS & ATS) and transformers
* Knowledge on testing and calibrating generator systems
* Inspects, maintains, repairs, and overhauls electrical systems, equipment, and switch gears.
* Plans, organizes, directs, inspects, and evaluates Electrical activities as well as determines solutions to technical problems.
* Inspects completed work to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
* Responsible for the work accomplished by the shop personnel.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

* .Current Certified Journeyman Card or State License required

* .Five (5) years of knowledge and experience of the NEC (National Electrical Code 2023) & NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) necessary to ensure subordinates perform their work in accordance with all applicable codes, maintenance manuals, or other applicable documents governing their work under the PWS.
Working Environment
*
* The diversity of work conditions may range from an office environment where there is little to no physical discomfort, to a field environment where inclement weather may subject the individual to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where industrial hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical shock hazards. May be required to work a flexible work schedule and alternating workdays to meet mission and customer requirements.
* A normal work week is 48 hours (5 days per week). Must be willing to work additional hours when mission requires.
