Responsibilities:
As an Educator-Registered Nurse (RN) at Community Hospital of San Bernardino, you will take a central role in designing, delivering, and evaluating innovative educational programs that empower our healthcare team to excel. By cultivating a culture of lifelong learning and professional development, you will help ensure that patients receive high-quality, compassionate care-always aligned with our hospital's mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the hospital-wide education leadership team to plan and assess clinical nursing education programs.
* Coordinate competency-based orientation and ongoing development for assigned unit(s) to support continuous skill enhancement.
* Develop engaging topics, courses, and classes based on the evolving needs of staff, fostering a supportive learning environment.
* Act as a clinical expert and role model, championing evidence-based practices that elevate patient care and outcomes.
* Partner with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to drive effective resource utilization and promote care continuity.
* Serve as a catalyst for positive change, guiding staff through improvements and updates in patient care practices.
* Organize dynamic hospital-wide in-services, contribute to policy creation, and support quality-driven initiatives.

Qualifications:
* Minimum of four (4) years current acute care clinical nursing experience required.
* Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field required.
* Experience in an accredited acute care hospital or healthcare facility to include educator experience.
* Previous teaching and program developement meeting The Joint Commission (TJC) standards for competency processes preferred.
* Masters degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field preferred
* California Registered Nurse License
* AHA-Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
