Responsibilities:
Join CHI Health as an Education Specialist and become a champion for learning and development, playing a crucial role in shaping the skills, knowledge, and competencies of our dedicated staff. You'll be at the forefront of education initiatives, ensuring our team is equipped with the latest evidence-based practices and delivering exceptional patient care. As the training center and site coordinator, you'll be a key point of contact for life support training, adhering to American Heart Association guidelines.
Your Impact:
* Lead Life Support Training: Coordinate and oversee life support programs for Omaha and Lincoln, ensuring our staff is prepared to respond effectively in critical situations.
* Deliver Engaging Training: Facilitate BLS, ACLS, and PALS classes, utilizing effective adult teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning needs and ensure knowledge transfer.
* Champion Best Practices: Actively seek out and implement evidence-based practices, contributing to clinical excellence and innovation in education.
* Drive Education Initiatives: Facilitate key education initiatives and priorities, including the delivery of engaging education programs, workshops, and other learning opportunities.
* Master of Learning Technologies: Collaborate with the centralized team and key stakeholders to provide expert support for the Learning Management System (LMS), assisting with documentation, course assignment, ILT management, and report generation.
* Training Site Excellence: Serve as the training site coordinator for CHI Health, ensuring compliance with all regulations required by the American Heart Association.
* Support Clinical Education: Coordinate and support other clinical education programs, aligning with organizational initiatives and priorities.
* Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our education programs by staying current with best practices and seeking out new learning opportunities.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
Associates Degree in Nursing, BSN preferred.
3 years clinical experience.
Required Licensure and Certifications
Active RN licensure in the state of Nebraska, Iowa, or nurse licensure compact.
AND
BLS required, ACLS/PALS required within 6 months of hire. BLS, PALS; ACLS Instructor required within 6 months of hire
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
- Minimum three years relevant nursing experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written).
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge and application of nursing skills.
- Ability to critically think in complex situations.
