What You Can Expect:

* Schedule: Part time, weekdays
* No on call required
* 5-6 exams per day, with Echo reporting in ISCV
* Adult procedures 
* Equipment: Philips Epiq Elite

Minimum Qualifications for this Role:

* Education: Associates degree or experience in lieu of degree
* Licenses/Certifications:
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
* Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) OR Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer certification (ARDMS)

Preferred Qualifications:

* Ability to perform Stress Echo
* Experience with Epic EMR
* Vascular experience

Responsibilities:

Independently performs echocardiograms, cardiac Doppler, M-mode and color flow imaging tests in adult and pediatric patients only.

-Technologists will educate patient, family or provider as to the extent and detail of each procedure, including informed consent as well as pre-and post-procedure instructions. 

* Technologist is responsible for the preparation of an adequate, complete, and current medical record for every individual evaluated. 
- Responsible for preparing patients and diagnostic equipment for imaging procedures. Explains procedures to patients. 
- Collects key information from the patient, family, provider, and records necessary for interpretation of the study(s). 
- Performs Contrast Studies (bubble studies) as necessary. 
- Provides detailed echo reports and maintains echo records, charges, and files. 
- Responsible for ensuring patient care needs are met through effective management of resources and operations. 
- Maintains equipment and supplies. 
- Ensures the proper exam is being performed. Consults provider as needed. 
- Maintains knowledge and competency of the most advanced procedures. 
- Participates in our quality management program and follows accreditation standards to achieve image and service quality ensuring efficient and effective patient care. 
- Participates in call rotation as assigned. 
- Performs advanced ECHO procedures (e.g. TEE, 3-D, CVOR etc). 
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
