SoftwareOne is seeking an Account Manager for the Large Enterprise segment, responsible for leading strategic sales engagements, identifying new opportunities, and delivering exceptional value to customers through our software, cloud, and services portfolio.
This is a key role within our high-performing commercial sales organization-ideal for a consultative seller who is passionate about helping customers modernize and optimize their technology investments.
Objectives
* Drive revenue growth across a defined enterprise territory by executing effective sales strategies.
* Build long-term, profitable client relationships and position SoftwareOne as a strategic partner.
* Identify opportunities to deliver value through software licensing, cloud solutions, and advisory services.
* Champion customer success while consistently achieving (and exceeding) quarterly sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify, target, and engage key decision makers within large enterprise accounts.
* Lead the full sales cycle-from opportunity discovery to proposal, negotiation, and deal closure.
* Build trusted executive-level relationships and articulate solutions aligned with customer business needs.
* Stay informed about competitive landscape, market trends, and emerging technologies.
* Present and position SoftwareOne products and services that drive measurable customer outcomes.
* Collaborate with internal teams to deliver seamless customer experiences.
* Provide customers and partners with guidance on software publisher contracts and best‑practice agreement usage.
* Submit accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue forecasts aligned with assigned quotas.
* Maintain strong presence in the software and cloud ecosystem through ongoing industry engagement.
Qualifications:
Essential Requirements
* Full-time work rights in Japan and relevant professional experience in the Japanese market.
* Full professional proficiency in Japanese and basic-intermediate English.
* Proven enterprise sales experience with Japanese customers within software licensing, cloud solutions, or related IT domains.
* Strong ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including C‑level executives.
* Demonstrated consultative selling skills and experience managing complex account strategies.
* Skilled in presenting, communicating, and influencing across multiple levels.
* Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management capabilities.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with minimal supervision.
* Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Desirable
* Bachelor's degree.
* Experience with Microsoft or other Tier 1 software publishers.
* Background in solution selling to large enterprise organizations.
