About Us: Our schools include all-English and bilingual preschools, elementary school, and junior high school. The core of our business is high-quality English language education. But we teach more than just English. In our preschools, children learn a wide variety of skills and knowledge, thoroughly preparing them for public school. In our elementary and junior high schools, we also support our students with courses in other subjects such as Chinese, math, and science, helping them to become well-rounded and successful students. Applicants should be: *Serious about education *Committed to your students * Patient, flexible, enthusiastic, energetic, and personable-the total package! *Applicants should also have a good sense of humor and genuinely enjoy working with children. Qualifications: *Native-English speaker *Passport holder from USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, or New Zealand *Bachelor's degree (in any discipline) *OR associate degree with a TEFL/TESOL certificate *Able to make a one-year commitment *Clean criminal record check Schedule: *Minimum of 20 teaching hours per week, averaged over the month *Average of 26 teaching hours per week; no maximum hours' *5-6 day working weeks *Classes normally run on weekday evenings and weekends *May include split-shifts Remuneration: *Base pay rate is NT$580-$650/ per teaching hour, based on experience *Yearly raise of between NT$0 and NT$40/hour, depending on performance and professionalism (Ceiling pay rate of NT$750 per hour) *Student Return-Rate Bonuses *Contract Completion Bonus (after second contract, NT$15,000 bonus; the third, NT$20,000; and NT$30,000 at the end of each additional contract completed thereafter) *Mandarin Training *Sponsored TEFL certificate after one-year of teaching *Sponsored resident visa and work permit *National health insurance (appx. NT$300-500/mo) *Interest free start-up loan NT$30,000 (Take up to six months to pay this back) *14-days holiday per year *6-8 days of national holidays per year *Christmas is optional work day *7-days sick leave per year * 1-month unpaid leave after 1st year (optional) *All days away from teaching are unpaid.
