About Us: Our school is located near the famous "Tianjin Eye" in Tianjin's Hebei District. We're partnered with four public kindergartens, so teaching hours will be split between the schools (occasionally more than one school in a single day). Three of the kindergartens are in Hebei District, one in He'xi District, so travel time is quite short. The days off will be Saturday and Sunday consecutively. Class hours are all between 9am-5pm. Sometimes you will have three days off during the week, so teaching hours will be heavier on other days to compensate. Total teaching hours are 12 hours/week with no office hours. About Tianjin: Tianjin is best known as the main port of entry for China's northeastern manufacturing corridor. It's the largest coastal city in the north and is just a stone's throw from the capital - going to Beijing is a 30-minute ride by high-speed rail. Tianjin has a rich history and has many examples of old British and Italian architecture. The famous Italian Concession Area has the largest cluster of Old Italian architecture outside of Italy. Other local attractions are the Huanyaguang section of the Great Wall, the Tianjin Eye and Tianjin's Ancient Culture Street. Outside the city centre is Binhai, which includes Tanggu and TEDA (Tianjin Economic Development Zone). These areas are home to much of Tianjin's commercial activity and is one of the engines driving the city's rapid economic growth. Job Description: *12-15 hours classroom hour/week, Monday-Friday (no office hours) *Student age 3-5 years old *Class size 30 students - every class has a bilingual teacher assistant *Certain teaching materials are provided, including an interactive white board *On boarding date: Aug 15 - September 1 *One-year teaching contract About You: -You should be enthusiastic, dedicated and responsible. -You should like being around children and be genuinely concerned with their academic and social development. -You should be able to work independently. -You should be able to plan engaging lessons using school provided courseware and your own imagination to delight your students. -You should be able to work in a fast paced environment and be able to solve problems creatively and with a positive attitude. -You should enjoy working with technology in the classroom.
