ESL & Subject Teachers | International High School | Jiangsu Province (Suzhou and Nanjing)

Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English/ESL, Geography, Science, Business, Biography, Economics, History, Psychology, Statistics, Computer, etc.

Locations:
Suzhou & Nanjing

Responsibilities:
*Accept the work assigned by the School;
*Develop and implement lesson plans at a professional level;
*Develop teacher grade books, including assignments and correcting students' homework in an organized professional manner;
*Assess and address attention to students' individualized needs; keep regular updates re progress records/progress reports for students during the term; and complete report cards for students under your charge at the end of the school term;
*Participate in extra-curricular activities;
*Supplement, research and develop curriculum for the international education programs;
*Participate in teacher training of teaching and learning in the international education program; 
*Participate in school committees e.g. Curriculum Committee, Health and Safety *Committee, Disaster Preparedness Committee, Social Committee, Fund Raising Committee etc.
*Participate in training/being a trainer, in professional development, securing resources, team building and mutual teacher support.
*Provide necessary consultancy and support in students' application to universities abroad, such as college admission counseling, writing letters of references, and guiding students in writing personal statements or essays, etc.
*Teach courses according to individual situation of the students.   
*Organize regular tests and collect feedbacks in the classroom during the teaching processes for the purpose of getting to know what the learners have accomplished and what they need to work on next.
*Take part in teacher trainings, seminars, lectures, meetings with other professionals, and other activities organized by the company and schools.
 
Hours:
The teacher will work for 5 days a week（Monday to Friday）. The teacher is to be given day(s) off later, if working on weekends. As a full-time teacher, besides class time, the teacher needs to stay in the office. The maximum teaching hours on average for each week are 20 hours. The maximum teaching hours on average for each month are 80 hours. 
 
Minimum Qualifications:
*Hold a degree from an accredited four-year university
*ESL, TEFL, or TESOL certificate 
*Clean criminal record 
*Excellent mental and physical health 
*Age 24-59 (for purposes of obtaining a work visa) 
*Willing to relocate to China for a 1-year contract
 
Preferred Qualifications & Characteristics:
*Master degree or above is preferred; relevant professional background
*Have a deep perception into the field you are teaching.
*Love teaching; teachers with teaching experiences are preferred; familiar with students' life and study habits; good communicative skills with learners.
*Good at oral expression; teach flexibly; easy-going and approachable; good teamwork spirit.
*CET 6 or above, with the capacity to read English version books and materials (for a Chinese National)
 
Salary and welfare:
*Competitive salary from CNY 8,000 - 12,000 for ESL teachers; CNY 12,000 - 15,000 for qualified subject teachers (negotiable, based on experience and qualifications)
*On-campus housing provided OR housing allowance
*Medical check and visa costs reimbursed
*Health insurance CNY 2,000
*International airfare allowance CNY 8,000
*Paid winter holiday (3 weeks)
*Summer holiday (about 4 weeks) paid CNY 3,500/mo.
