Responsibilities:
As our Emergency Room Technician, you will be a critical frontline support for our nursing and physician teams, playing a vital role in providing immediate care and comfort to patients experiencing medical emergencies.
Every day you will assist with direct patient care tasks such as obtaining vital signs, performing EKGs, assisting with wound care, and helping with patient transport and activities of daily living. You will be expected to prepare treatment rooms, maintain inventory of supplies, respond quickly to emergencies, and provide compassionate support to patients and their families in a high-stress environment.
To be successful in this role, you must possess strong communication skills, an unflappable demeanor under pressure, and a deep commitment to providing immediate, high-quality care with efficiency and empathy.
Qualifications:
Required
* Experience as a MA, EMT, CNA or equivalence, upon hire
* Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
* Medical Terminology
* Familiarity with computer operations
Preferred
* Prior experience as a ER Tech, UnitClerk and/or Monitor Technician
* Previous experience with EKG equipment, able to perform EKG's
* Prior acute care or emergency experience
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
