Responsibilities:

The Environmental Specialist is responsible for air quality and water quality management programs at Maxwell Air Force Base. This multidisciplinary role will work with other environmental and engineering professionals to assure compliance with regulatory and U.S. Air Force standards for air and water quality programs. This role is full time, onsite on Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama.

Qualifications:

Essential Functions and Duties: 

* Identify, track and measure areas of non-compliance and provide corrective actions that can be implemented within prescribed timelines.
* Provide environmental inputs and updates into various environmental management systems (EMS).
* Directly report to the Environmental Management Chief to meet program management goals.
* Brief air and water quality topics to military and civilian personnel.
* Produce compliance reports and management plans for air and water programs.
* Assist other environmental discipline leads with various tasks and inspections.
* Establish and maintain community-based air and water compliance programs.
* Perform other related work as assigned.
* Be able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic compliance environment.
* Be able to prioritize competing deadlines and demands.
