Responsibilities:

The incumbent performs the duties necessary to maintain in good repair, the installation high voltage distribution system including all associated appurtenances. 

Work Model: Onsite/Office-Based

Qualifications:
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
* Responsible for the equipment and personnel necessary to perform such work. 
* Keeps supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered. 
* Gives guidance and direction to craft persons involved in projects; and assists with scheduling and assignment of workload. 
* Climbs power poles and replaces wire, cables, insulators, and connectors. 
* Set poles, guy wires, and installs transformers and regulators. 
* Splices cables, repairs, or replaces protection devices, keeps records on various equipment. 
* Performs tests on oil and insulation characteristics. 
* Repairs, maintains, and replaces components, cables, and control devices. 
* Replaces and/or adjusts trip units, determines size of conductor and protection size or setting and be able to modify factors for local conditions. 
* Adheres to the established safety policies. 
* Performs other duties as assigned.
