Overview:
CHI Carrington Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed by the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, have a variety of skills from clinical to project management. In our Critical Access Hospital, you will be exposed to the emergency department, acute care (Med/Surg), swing bed, surgery, outpatient treatment, and so much more!
Responsibilities:
As our EMT, you will perform essential general patient care, meticulously following established clinic workflows to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery within an outpatient setting.
Every day you will complete comprehensive patient intake duties, including obtaining vital signs, verifying allergies and medications, and documenting reasons for visits. You'll also collect and prepare specimens, administer ordered medications and vaccines, clean and sterilize instruments, ensure exam room readiness, and meticulously complete safety checklists, escalating any non-routine issues promptly.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care, efficiency, and safety, adeptly managing all intake processes and supporting clinical operations. Your ability to meticulously follow protocols, maintain a clean and stocked environment, and proactively address concerns will be crucial for exceptional patient experiences.
What you'll do...
* Provides professional and compassionate patient care to all age groups.
* Performs and documents assessments and treatments as patient condition requires.
* Patient Care as needed to accurately reflect current patient needs. To ensure that interventions are made promptly, particularly when exceptions occur on patient care guidelines.
* Provides patient care, which is appropriate to the patient diagnosis, symptoms, and physician orders, following ambulance and/or hospital policies and procedures.
* Performs patient assessment and takes appropriate action according to treatment guidelines.
* Administers Medications utilizing the 5 Rights and according to the standard operating procedure.
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or GED
* Successful completion of EMT course
* Driver's License: ND
* Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association (AHA)
* Emergency Medical Technician: ND (EMT:ND)
* National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT)
