Responsibilities:
* Respond to Emergency Calls: Quickly and safely respond to a wide range of emergency medical calls, including medical emergencies, trauma incidents, accidents, and more.
* Provide Pre-Hospital Care: Administer essential basic life support (BLS) interventions, including patient assessment, vital sign monitoring, airway management, CPR, bleeding control, and fracture immobilization, according to established protocols.
* Patient Transportation: Safely transport patients to appropriate medical facilities, continuously monitoring their condition and providing ongoing care during transit.
* Operate Emergency Vehicles: Safely and skillfully operate emergency vehicles under various conditions, adhering to all traffic laws and department policies.
* Effective Communication: Maintain clear and concise communication with dispatch, medical staff, law enforcement, and patients/families, providing accurate reports and updates.
* Documentation: Complete thorough and accurate patient care reports (PCRs) and other necessary documentation in a timely manner.
* Equipment Maintenance: Ensure readiness of ambulance and equipment by performing daily checks, cleaning, and restocking medical supplies.
* Community Engagement: Participate in training, drills, and community outreach events as needed, fostering a sense of teamwork and preparedness.
* Adhere to Protocols: Meticulously follow all local, state (MN Department of Health), and federal regulations and established medical protocols.

Emergency Medical Technician: MN (EMT:MN)
Emergency Medical Technician: ND (EMT:ND)
National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT)
Driver's License: MN (AUTO:MN)
Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
