Responsibilities:

As our EMT, you will perform essential general patient care, meticulously following established clinic workflows to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery within an outpatient setting.

Every day you will complete comprehensive patient intake duties, including obtaining vital signs, verifying allergies and medications, and documenting reasons for visits. You'll also collect and prepare specimens, administer ordered medications and vaccines, clean and sterilize instruments, ensure exam room readiness, and meticulously complete safety checklists, escalating any non-routine issues promptly.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care, efficiency, and safety, adeptly managing all intake processes and supporting clinical operations. Your ability to meticulously follow protocols, maintain a clean and stocked environment, and proactively address concerns will be crucial for exceptional patient experiences.

* Performs direct patient care activities for specific patient population according to established policies and procedures; adapts techniques to unique needs of each patient including when assigned as a sitter.
* Promptly and courteously responds to patient requests for assistance whether that of assigned patient or not, assesses patient needs, and checks with patient regularly.
* Follows up on patient care responsibilities and assignments left from previous shift and reports to Charge Nurse any incomplete assignments to ensure continuity of care.
* Consistently demonstrates an ability to set appropriate priorities in providing safe patient care; functions in an organized and time-conscious manner.
* Consistently records and/or reports to the Team Leader or Charge Nurse any treatment results, observations, patient complaints, and other pertinent information regarding the condition of patients.
* Consistently demonstrates competence in performing treatment procedures such as applications of heat and cold, special skin care, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications:

Required

* High School Graduate or GED
* Emergency Medical Technician: CA
* AHA Basic Life Support - CPR
* Phlebotomist: CA

Preferred

* Minimum of one (1) year experience in an acute care hospital or healthcare facilities emergency department
