Responsibilities:
* Full Time Opportunity
* Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm & On Call
This position is responsible for providing Neurological Diagnostics procedures in all patient care areas including NCS/EMG. Assess diagnostics needs of patients and works under medical supervision operating sophisticated medical equipment.
* Recognizes clinically significant events and follows facility policy and procedures regarding critical test results
* Communicates appropriately and effectively with the patient to convey the purpose of the NCS and answers questions regarding the test as well as with higher level personnel
* Performs standard and complex electroencephalographic recordings
* Keeps equipment in a clean operating condition. Troubleshoots and repairs minor malfunctions in the equipment. Initiates repair of malfunctioning equipment
* Transports patients, maintaining safety and comfort
* Practices strict ethical enforcement of protected medical and employee confidentiality
* Authorized to make entries in the medical record, consistent with and limited to the scope of the job duties and any applicable licensure

* BLS through American Heart Association certification is required upon hire
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Knowledgeable and skilled in EMG/NCS diagnostic testing
* Excellent and frequent reading, verbal and written communication skills
