Overview: POSITION SUMMARY: The EKG/Telemetry Tech functions as a member of the Patient Care Team. The EKG/Telemetry Tech is responsible for testing, observing, monitoring, and interpreting patients EKG rhythms in conjunction with the established departmental policies and procedures. Duties may vary slightly by assigned shift. Qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: * High School/GED Completion of Cardiac Rhythm Course within one year to recognize abnormal heart rhythms and artifacts in test data Other Licenses/Certifications: * BLS - American Heart Association Healthcare Other skills/knowledge: * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. * Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
