Part-time, flexible shift. Could be mornings only, afternoons only, a split-shift of mornings and afternoons combined or PRN.

As a part-time driver for Devereux you will:
* Provide safe and appropriate transportation for all Pocono Center residents
* Be responsible for supervision of residents and seeing that their physical, emotional and personal needs are met in situations where professional accompaniment is not necessary
* Assist Coordinator in vehicle maintenance
* Perform safety inspections on assigned vehicles and ensures that vehicle is clean inside and out
* Respond to emergency situations as necessary
* Serve as courier when needed
* Attend in-service training programs to develop skills in dealing with residents effectively
* Exercise the rules of safety at all times
* Have access to Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) that support our diverse employee population.
* Perform related duties, special assignments and projects as assigned by coordinator.
Payrates: Starting rates $17.75-20.24 hr depending on experience.

Qualifications:
Experience: Two or more years driving experience. Good documentation and organizational skills. Must have a valid Pennsylvania driver's license with a clear record.
Physical Requirements: Requires walking and standing 1/2 to 3/4 of the workday; 1/4 to 1/2 of the workday sitting. Frequently requires stooping, bending. Occasionally requires lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Requires vision and physical ability to regularly operate Devereux vehicles. Requires physical ability to successfully perform CPR, First Aid procedures, and Crisis Prevention/Intervention techniques. Significant and frequent use of physical requirements associated with verbal and written communication. Must be free of dependency and abuse of illegal or illicit drugs, alcohol, inhalants, or other chemical substances or controlled substances.
Devereux has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies and procedures to systematically reduce the risk of abuse to occur in our organization. Devereux fosters a culture of reporting abuse, and will cooperate with the authorities to the fullest extent possible.
