Responsibilities: The apprenticeship program is built and designed for new Class A CDL licensed drivers and professional truck drivers with less than 1 year of driving experience. Employee will be required to successfully complete all phases of the training program. This will include but is not limited to completing a training regimen covering minimum training hours that typically runs 6-8 weeks (or when deemed successfully completed) with a KeHE Driver Trainer demonstrating proficiencies in all areas of the training program. Apprentice drivers will become a Professional driver upon completion of one year of cumulative CDL A experience. Qualifications: * Must have CDL class A driver's license. * Must have a clean MVR and be in the pass category on the Motor Vehicle Grading Criteria specified by KeHE Distributors. * Must pass a criminal background check. * Pass the D.O.T. physical and drug screening. * Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when recording information and filling out required forms. * Verbal and written communication skills. * Self-motivated - must be able to work independently. * Strong organizational skills. * Must be a team player and develop a good chemistry with coworkers. * Must be able to perform all physical requirements for the job of CDL Truck Driver.
