Responsibilities:
GFT is seeking a dedicated and Drainage Engineer to join our Southeast Transportation Group. The location for this role would be in Maitland, FL.

What you'll be challenged to do:
You'll support transportation and infrastructure projects by preparing engineering calculations, technical reports, drainage designs, and permitting documents. Your work will involve hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater management design, and ensuring compliance with FDOT and local standards.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
* Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, specifications, and permitting documents.
* Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, including stormwater collection system analysis.
* Develop stormwater management designs and obtain permits in compliance with state and local regulations.
* Perform reviews of drainage designs, plans, and reports for FDOT and municipal transportation projects.
* Ensure design quality, technical accuracy, and compliance with applicable FDOT standards and guidelines.
Qualifications:
What you will bring to our firm:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Transportation Engineering (or a related field).
* 10 years of experience in in drainage design for highway and roadway projects.
* Proficient in OpenRoads Designer.
* Strong knowledge of FDOT Design Manual, Standard Plans, and Drainage Manual.
* Prior experience on FDOT District 6 (D6) projects strongly preferred.
What we prefer you bring:
* Prior experience on FDOT District 6 (D6) projects strongly preferred.
* Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Florida or the ability to obtain in 6 months
Compensation:
The range for this position is salary range is $110,000 - $120,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
