Responsibilities:

* Emergency communication system dispatcher, receives emergency calls (police, fire, medical, hazmat, rescue, etc.) via telephone, TDD, radio, fire alarm system, computerized alarm system and face-to-face
* Dispatches firefighting apparatus, ambulances, rescue equip. first aid services, & police to situations within camp boundaries.
* Operates radio equipment in accordance with Federal Communication Commission (FCC) regulations/local emergency procedures.
* Maintains logs of calls.
* Answers/screens all 911 emergency calls/personal telephone inquiries.
* Performs routine administrative/clerical duties.
* Maintains office files, compiles statistical data reports, charts, etc.
* Receives, sorts, routes incoming mail/correspondence and distributes.
* Uses standard computer programs/procedures to input or retrieve data.

Qualifications:

* Program Specific Requirements:
* This position requires U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance.
* Certified Telecommunications I&II
* Certified hazardous material awareness
* Certified Emergency Medical Dispatcher
* Experience working with fire, medical, and military terminology.
* Understanding of affecting emergency plans, SOPs and mutual aid agreements.
* Able to independently determine which processes, procedures and methods to use to effectively dispatch emergency
* Experienced with emergency dispatching.
