Responsibilities: The dishwasher is responsible for washing and drying dishes, cookware, and kitchen utensils by hand or using a dishwasher. They also clean meat slicers, ovens, fridges, cooker hoods, and other kitchen equipment. They wash and disinfect kitchen floors and surfaces, remove kitchen waste, and provide assistance to cooks/chefs and other kitchen personnel where necessary. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES - Inspects, operates, and troubleshoots utility machinery/equipment - Completes work requests when needed - Cleans up after banquets - Distributes appropriate dishware assigned to a specific function and verifies items returned - inspects equipment used for transporting materials for events and reports any damages - Maintains inventory of dishware - Organizes storerooms and chemical closets - Ensures that all deliming procedures are performed correctly for dishwashers, ice machines, and steamers - Disassembles kitchen equipment for cleaning proposes and reassembles after completion of tasks Qualifications: QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS - High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience related to the nature of the position - Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret written and/or oral instructions - Ability to communicate with internal and/or external guests - Certificate of Food and Service Sanitation/willing to obtain - Ability to read, comprehend, and speak English - Ability to stand for extended periods of time - Physical mobility with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 lbs
