As our new Director of SoftwareOne Consulting Services, you will be responsible for the strategic, operational, and financial performance of the Professional Services organization, reporting to the General Manager. You will lead four delivery units-M365 & Security, Power Platform & CRM, Cloud Engineering, and Data & AI-driving the successful delivery of complex digital transformation projects.
Leading 50+ technical professionals through four Unit Managers, you will balance resource utilization with high‑quality customer outcomes. You will also partner closely with sales, supporting pre‑sales activities with seven Account Executives by translating customer needs into scalable solutions and clear statements of work.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Consulting Services Leadership
* Multi-Practice Oversight: Provide executive governance across four business units, ensuring delivery quality, project health, and client satisfaction
* Operational Excellence & Performance: Define delivery standards and governance while owning practice KPIs, including utilization, margins, and escalations
* Pre-Sales & Business Growth
* Sales Partnership: Act as the primary delivery partner to 7 Account Executives, supporting opportunity qualification and deal closure
* Solution Ownership: Oversee solution design, estimates, and SOWs while driving revenue growth through cross-unit "land and expand" opportunities
* People Leadership & Org Development
* Manager of Managers: Lead and coach four Unit Managers, enabling strong performance across all technical domains
* Talent & Culture: Own workforce planning for 50+ professionals, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture and future-ready skills
* Technical Domain Oversight
* Strategic Fluency: Maintain executive-level understanding across M365 & Security, Power Platform & CRM, Cloud Engineering, and Data & AI
* Technology Direction: Guide technical strategy across modern workplace, cloud platforms, and AI-enabled solutions, including Copilot and Azure OpenAI
Qualifications:
* Proven Leadership: Extensive experience in Professional Services or Consulting, including several years in a "manager of managers" role
* Delivery Leadership: Demonstrated success leading a consulting or delivery organization of 40+ billable professionals
* Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of services economics, including fixed‑fee and T&M models, margin management, and profitable delivery operations
* Pre‑Sales Expertise: Extensive experience supporting end‑to‑end sales cycles, from discovery and solution design through contract negotiation
* Executive Presence: Ability to engage confidently with C‑suite stakeholders (CIO, CISO, CTO) and align technical roadmaps to business strategy
* Education: Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field (master's degree preferred)
* Certifications: Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Security Operations Analyst) or project management credentials (PMP, PRINCE2) are highly desirable
