Responsibilities:
Hollywood Casino Kansas Speedway is currently looking for a Director of Security to join the team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide friendly, fast, and helpful customer service, through the consistent practice and delivery of Red Carpet Customer Service to all guests and team members.
* Develop, enforce, review and approve changes or revisions to operating practices, procedures and standards based on business trends and practices
* Provide for the safety of team members including keeping areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter and performing all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
* Understand and adhere to bargaining unit agreements.
* Oversee and manage all security functions including management of staff and budgeting operations.
* Oversee safety operations and management of emergency medical personnel.
* Identify and resolve security related problems.
* Develop and implement alternative methods for security operation improvement.
* Coordinate, staff and schedule activities within security area including but not limited to special promotions, crowd control and parking management, including communication with other involved departments or vendors.
* Plan and provide training as needed or required.
* Examine and analyze the physical property, processes and procedures and develop, institute, oversee and enforce emergency policies.
* Serve as liaison with gaming regulators, public law enforcement, fire and other agencies as it relates to security by maintaining a positive and constructive relationship.
* Review financial reports to ensure security operation efficiency and quality control.
* Conduct, supervise and prepare reports relating to investigations of any losses or violations of law, regulations, policies or procedures.
* Plan, examine, analyze, evaluate and manage security operations including physical assets and persons.
* Transfer Table Games fills and credits.
* Provide escorts as needed.
* Testify in court when necessary.
* Evaluate procedures and practices and make recommendations regarding improvements or potential problems.
* Manage team members, including interviewing, selecting, hiring, orientation, training, disciplines, and payroll including the management of attendance and time records.
* Supervise the work processes and procedures of team members including the assignment of tasks or apportionment of work to be done by team members.
* Develop and implement measurable performance evaluations for assigned staff according to department goals and objectives.
* Review the performance, productivity and efficiency of team members including but not limited to periodic evaluations and development of coaching techniques to motivate productivity.
* Develop, implement and promote programs to reward and recognize performance of team members.
* Recommend or oppose the change in status of team members including but not limited to changes from full time to part time, promotions and transfers.
* Protect and preserve the assets of the company.
* Promote policies, procedures and processes to increase revenue and effectively manage expenses.
* Compile information, complete and submit reports to authorized management or Accounting as required.
* Review and analyze departmental staffing needs and adjust working schedules of team members to promote effective labor cost control while providing quality products and service.
* Administer disciplinary actions, propose corrective action, and monitor post-disciplinary performance of team members.
* Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental or company matters.
* Gather information for long and short term planning to assist the leadership in budget planning.
* Develop, participate in and promote customer service programs to continuously improve quality service.
* Develop and promote standards of excellence.
* Must adhere to regulatory, department and company policies.
* Perform other job related and compatible duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Five to seven years casino security and/or law enforcement experience preferred
* Three years of supervisory experience
* Must be proficient in Microsoft applications
* Effective communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
* Ability to display professionalism when dealing with guests
* Strong leadership, supervisory and interpersonal skills
* Effective analytical skills as demonstrated in timely and appropriate issue resolution
* Must be able to run on level surfaces, as well as up and down stairs
* Must have valid driver's license and acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming auto insurance carrier
