Job Title:  Director, Secondary Marketing - Lock Desk

Location: Remote - hybrid if located within 31 miles of Tustin, CA or Austin, TX locations

Compensation:  Starting at 125K + DOE

Job Summary:  The Director, Secondary Marketing - Lock Desk spearheads the lock desk operations, driving efficient, compliant, and strategic management of interest rate lock commitments. This leadership role entails guiding a high-performing team, crafting innovative strategies to optimize pricing and operational efficiency, and championing comprehensive training and development programs. The Director ensures seamless alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards, oversees daily lock desk functions, mentors staff to foster growth, and implements process enhancements to elevate performance and profitability.

Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage the lock desk team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
* Oversee daily operations of the lock desk, including rate lock requests, extensions, and expirations.
* Develop and implement automation strategies leveraging the NAF PPE.
* Train and mentor team members on lock desk policies, procedures, and best practices.
* Ensure compliance with investor guidelines, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
* Collaborate with sales, operations, and capital markets teams to streamline processes and enhance customer experience.
* Analyze lock desk performance metrics and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
* Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on lock desk performance and opportunities for development.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
* 10+ years of experience in secondary marketing, with at least 5 years in a lock desk or pricing role.
* Proven leadership and management experience, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
* Strong understanding of mortgage pricing, hedging, and secondary market operations.
* Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and loan origination systems.
* In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and investor guidelines (e.g., Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac).
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration and training.
* Polly experience a plus.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:

* Experience with pricing engines and loan origination software (e.g., Encompass, Polly).
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools.
* Prior experience designing and delivering training programs for lock desk or secondary marketing team
