Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking for an experienced, charismatic, self-motivated Director of Purchasing to manage our central purchasing team to drive compliance and performance metrics.

Salary range: $125,000-145,000

Responsibilities:

  Leads and manages all core functions of the direct purchasing team

  Excel in large scale management of central purchasing functions.

  Provide strategic insights and lead continuous improvement efforts in parts purchasing and vendor management.

  Coordinate day-to-day actions, coach, and manage a central purchasing team to set and achieve concrete targets every month by reviewing operations performance metrics, setting new performance goals, defining process improvement opportunities, and mentoring team members in the execution of these activities

  Schedule and manage all central procurement activities to align with operations workload and optimization.

  Develop and analyze Operational and Support metrics to measure the performance of the team

  Coach and mentor team members with a focus on professional development and upstream thinking

  Utilize deep product and industry knowledge while serving as a strong cross functional leader

  Develop and lead end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery of critical initiatives.

Qualifications:

  College degree required; Master degree preferred

  4+ years experience working in Automotive Aftermarket or OEM parts purchasing

  2 to 4 years leading high impact teams or projects

  Understanding of complex supply chain through a decentralized purchasing function.

  Excellent analytical and communication skills

  The ability to influence and inspire others

  Past parts product, automotive service experience

  Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation

  Experience building and scaling operations, particularly in a fast-paced startup or tech environment

  SQL skills a plus
