Overview:
Position: Director of Product Management - Point of Sale (POS) Platform
Salary: $200K - $220K/yr d.o.e.
Location: Remote OK (2 days on-site if living within 31 miles of Tustin, CA or Austin, TX)
We are seeking a Director of Product Management to lead the strategy, execution, and growth of our Point of Sale (POS) platform designed specifically for Loan Officers. You will own the roadmap & execution for streamlining Loan Officer workflows, and integrating with core mortgage origination technologies. This role requires deep experience in mortgage POS/LOS platforms and a passion for building modern, intuitive user experiences for frontline lending teams. This role is a people leader who is adept at coaching Product Managers and Product Owners and helping them set Vision, Build Roadmaps, and strong Value Propositions for their products. You will work with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives to improve our product portfolio and be the keystone between business, communications, security, research, engineering, QA, and architecture.
Responsibilities:
* Define and drive the long-term product vision and strategic roadmap for the Loan Officer Point of Sale platform.
* Translate company objectives into a cohesive POS product strategy, ensuring alignment with lending operations, compliance, and borrower needs.
* Lead and develop a team of Product Managers and Product Owners accountable for consistent, high-quality delivery.
* Collaborate with Engineering and Design to ensure execution excellence through strong backlog management, sprint planning, and QA coordination.
* Drive high standards for execution quality, scalability, and usability across all POS releases.
* Ensure deep integration between POS and LOS systems while keeping compliance, data accuracy, and borrower experience top of mind.
* Champion Agile best practices and instill a culture of iterative improvement and outcome-based development.
* Regularly review metrics, user feedback, and performance data to validate strategic direction and make course corrections as needed.
* Manage multiple priorities, scale teams, and ensure the org is effective, healthy, and set up for success by establishing clear and measurable goals and holding people and teams accountable.
* Advocate for the product and its value internally with executives and externally as needed.
* Strong data driven decision making skills with experience in building business cases, measuring progress, and identifying changes to strategy.
* Strong familiarity with multiple prioritization frameworks (WSJF, RICE, etc) and comfortable leveraging data to support prioritization.
* Strong communicator and presentation skills.
* High-level motivational skills for the management of virtual teams.
Qualifications:
* 15+ years in product management; 7+ years in a leadership role.
* Proven experience crafting and executing end-to-end product strategies in a mortgage technology environment, particularly POS.
* Expertise in cross-functional execution management and Agile product development.
* Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor high-performing product teams to meet ambitious goals with speed and quality.
* Data-driven mindset with strong comfort around KPIs, adoption metrics, and business case development.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to drive alignment at all levels of the organization.
* Experience leading/building products in the Mortgage Lending space is mandatory
