Responsibilities:
At IPS, we are global leaders in developing innovative solutions for the consulting, architecture, engineering, project controls, procurement, construction management, and CQV of technically complex facilities, primarily in the life sciences industry. We are looking for a dedicated Director of Process Architecture to join our recently established EMEA office in Copenhagen, Denmark.
In this role, you will manage the utilization, growth, and development of professionals. You will also ensure consistent, high-quality deliverables via cold reviews and support business development with technical support, proposal generation, and work hour estimates.
Furthermore, you will conceptualize and lead the facility design services that support manufacturing and operational processes for numerous cutting-edge pharmaceutical facilities.
Additional Responsibilities
* Coordinates with project manager and discipline directors to determine scope, complexity, and planning and scheduling requirements of projects.
* Assigns appropriate personnel to provide cost-effective design and technical support.
* Defines an appropriate cost-effective workflow process and level of design detail to achieve project goals.
* Estimates work hours to generate project deliverables and support the design team.
* Develops Process Architecture strategic business plan in concert with overall group and company planning efforts involving technical/regulatory activities required to achieve long-range and annual goals and objectives.
* Performs various personnel functions that involve hiring, performance appraisal, salary position recommendations, and employee development.
* Evaluates and initiates the necessary training of the Process Architects in the group to ensure pertinent technical competence, acceptable social/communication skills, and personal development of leadership.
* Assists in the development and coordination of divisional and inter-departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
* Contributes to the preparation and delivery of sales presentations and proposals.
* Coordinates and takes ownership of Master Planning, Feasibility Studies, and Conceptual Design.
* Defines design philosophies and facility design parameters.
* Works with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception of building codes is required.
* Coordinates all aspects of project document completion within the company, and externally with clients, and other design professionals.
* Prepares or reviews construction budgets based on experience and scope of the project.
Qualifications:
* 15 + Years of Process Architecture Design experience within the Pharmaceutical industry working with (one or all) oral solid dosage ( OSD ), Aseptic, and Biologics.
* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University or College, preferably in Architecture (registered architect is preferred).
* Extensive GMP design experience including US and international.
* Proven experience leading conceptual design efforts.
* Has knowledge of applicable building codes.
* Is proficient in the use of a computer for design and understanding CAD operations (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
* Has the ability to interpret a building program and generate varied design concepts (knowledge of building and zoning codes).
* Extensive proven experience interacting and communicating directly with clients.
* International work experience, ideally in Denmark, or European geographies.
Preferred Qualifications
* Fluent in English and Danish.

* Travel based on the project location. This position is a safety-sensitive position.
