Director of Finance

				Overview:

As a key member of the finance leadership team, the Director of Finance, reporting to the Vice President of Finance, oversees the financial health and strategic planning for Select Medical's Critical Illness Recovery Hospital and Inpatient Rehab Divisions. This includes providing critical financial insights and analysis to support all inpatient Critical Illness Recovery and Inpatient Rehab Hospitals. The Director plays a vital role in monthly reporting, providing operations and executive leadership with in-depth analysis of key financial metrics, including revenue, patient mix, salary expenses, staffing levels, and expense control. Furthermore, the Director of Finance is a strategic partner to Business Development, conducting in-depth analysis and developing proformas to evaluate the financial feasibility of new business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

* Manage and oversee the annual forecasting and budgeting process
* Coordinate financial pro forma analysis for potentially new start-up operations
* Prepare and review return on investment analysis for projects and sponsorships
* Prepares monthly and quarterly reporting packages to operations and executive leadership in regards to key financial metrics
* Establish and maintains close and collaborative business relationship with operations and with the Corporate Accounting function
* Play a key role in working with operations to interpret financial metrics and develop best practices to enhance financial performance

Qualifications:

* BS or BA degree in accounting or other business-related major required
* Minimum 5 years of applicable experience required.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
* CPA and/or MBA preferred.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
