Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Diagnostic Imaging is responsible for overall operations of assigned departments, which include typical Imaging departments and any other site specific departments. Responsible for effectively managing financial, capital, and human resources of assigned departments by establishing, implementing, and monitoring quality and productivity standards. Develops, implements, and ensures adherence to policies and procedures in order to ensure compliance with OSF and third-party requirements for patient care and confidential patient information. Coordinates communication with physicians, department employees, other medical center departments and Administration. Responsible for the departmentally related areas of oversight related to PACS. This includes working with IT for upgrades, patches, bundle applications, compliance, trouble shooting, and education within the department of Radiology and with the tele-radiology providers as appropriate.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
* Bachelors
Other Licenses/Certifications:
* Graduate of approved school of radiologic technology/science, nuclear medicine or ultrasonography.
* ARRT, ARDMS, or NMTCB certification as appropriate for primary Imaging discipline.
* IEMA Licensure as appropriate for primary Imaging discipline.
Experience:
* 5 years of experience in a medical imaging department as a radiology technologist or other imaging modality in a medical center-based Radiology department.
* 3 years of leadership experience.
Other skills/knowledge:
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
* Master Degree in Business Administration or Health Care Management
License/Certifications:
* Current certification in at least 2 fields or specialties of medical imaging
* Have a sound working knowledge of all Imaging disciplines
