				Overview:

We are seeking a carrier‑side underwriting leader responsible for the management, performance, and governance of delegated authority personal lines portfolios, primarily renters / HO‑4 and tenant liability programs written through MGAs and MGUs.

This role does not underwrite individual risks. Instead, it owns portfolio‑level underwriting results, MGA performance oversight, pricing and loss ratio management, and coordination with actuarial, claims, and partner MGAs to ensure profitable, compliant growth.

Responsibilities:

* Own underwriting and financial performance for multiple MGA / MGU portfolios, including loss ratio, rate adequacy, exposure management, and authority controls
* Serve as the primary carrier underwriting point of contact for MGA partners
* Partner closely with actuarial on pricing reviews, indications, loss emergence, and portfolio diagnostics
* Establish and enforce underwriting guidelines, authority structures, audit findings, and remediation plans
* Monitor portfolio trends (frequency/severity, mix shifts, leakage, guideline drift) and implement corrective action
* Lead underwriting input into MGA  boarding, program changes, and renewal decisions
* Coordinate with claims, data, and compliance teams to maintain strong program governance
* Present portfolio results and recommendations to senior leadership
* This role is accountable for portfolio outcomes, not individual underwriting decisions.

Qualifications:

* 5+ years program management experience.
* Significant knowledge of Renters, Travel and Ticket insurance products and coverage offerings.
* Carrier‑side underwriting or portfolio leadership responsibility for delegated authority MGA / program business
* Demonstrated ownership of loss ratio and portfolio performance
* Experience managing multiple MGA relationships simultaneously
* Strong collaboration with actuarial teams (pricing, rate actions, performance analysis)
* Comfort making and executing portfolio changes (rate, rules, capacity, authority)
* Ability to interpret insurance rules and regulations and apply knowledge for the highest standard of compliance.
* High level of integrity and attention to detail.
* Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
