				Overview:

The Director, Product Systems role will serve as a Product Owner responsible for leading and overseeing the strategic development, prioritization and implementation of technology solutions that enhance products, automation, pricing, and risk selection across the Commercial Lines organization. This role will support the BOP & Package product lines. The primary function of this role is product enablement: converting product and underwriting goals into reality through high-quality, impactful products in an industry-leading experience.

This position is hybrid out of any AmTrust office. 4 days in the office, 1 day work from home.

Responsibilities:

Agile Product Ownership:

  Manage and prioritize the product feature roadmap to optimize for speed, value, technology enablers, contemplating dependencies for development and compliance/filing

  Define detailed requirements and specifications to implement the product roadmap clearly understood by technology and stakeholders

  Ensure successful delivery of initiatives through product release plans that anticipate dependencies and incorporate change management

System Stability and Compliance:

  Ensure the development of robust User Acceptance Testing including use of automated testing as appropriate to ensure system implementations are high quality and low risk; prioritizing defects/bugs

  Develop cadence for filings and other compliance-driven updates in partnership with the Compliance team

  Identify and mitigate risks associated with technology projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  Use cost/benefit analyses to prioritize and pursue technology/operations projects

  Gather, publicize, and use data to enable informed decision making and transparently report on system health, the efficacy of technology projects, and product performance.

  Assess efficacy of projects after implementation to ensure expected benefits are realized

Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration:

  Engage with key stakeholders e.g. users, product managers, underwriting, technology, UX, external partners, leaders, etc. to gather insights, ensure alignment, communicate progress and manage change.

  Work collaboratively with partners to pursue common approaches to problems

Qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  10+ years of experience in product management, product owner, or related roles, with a strong focus on implementing technology solutions in a small commercial or personal lines business.

  Strong organizational and project management skills. Proven track record of leading and delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget.

  Ability to make data-driven decisions and prioritize competing demands.

  Experience with Agile methodologies, product management, and insurance technology platforms. Knowledge of insurance industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

  Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

The expected salary range for this role is $114,700-$180,000/year.
