				Overview:

The Director, New Business Sales - France will lead new business sales for Avalara's core tax compliance solutions across France. You will develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for the region, with a focus on accelerating new business bookings in France while maintaining healthy ARR. You will lead an Account Executive, regional Solutions Engineer, Alliance Manager, and Demand Generation Marketing Specialist. As the first sales leader in this market, you will play a critical part in further establishing Avalara's presence and growth in France.

You will report to the GM of International Operations.

Responsibilities:

* Own new business sales for France, meeting and exceeding quotas
* Create and execute a go-to-market strategy tailored to the French market
* Collaborate closely with marketing, partner managers, and the customer loyalty group to drive demand and pipeline
* Manage forecasting and reporting for the region, providing regular updates to executive leadership
* Stay informed on tax compliance trends, competitors, and important partners within the French market
* Lead a high-performing sales team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
* Lead the GTM team within France including Account Executives, Alliance Manager, Solutions Engineer, and Demand Gen Marketer

Qualifications:

* 5+ years of experience leading high-performing sales teams in addition to 6+ years of experience in B2B sales, with a focus on SaaS
* Knowledge of tax compliance and ERP ecosystems
* Experience creating and executing go-to-market sales strategies within a SaaS environment
* Experience forecasting and presenting performance to executive leadership
* Strong knowledge of the partner landscape in France
* Fluency in French and English, both written and verbal
* Experience selling to both mid-market and enterprise segments
