Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:

* Lead and mentor a team of network engineers providing technical guidance and performance goals.
* Foster relationship building and communications both internally and with other outside teammates.
* Support growth and ensure accountabilities for all including yourself.

Strategy and Architecture:

* Develop and maintain a network roadmap to support the business initiatives which ensures reliability, scalability and security for the network design for the business.
* Lead proof of concepts for new networking technologies (ie Zero Trust) as well as network sizing and solutioning for branch types.

* Partner with other teams to drive alignment and solutions (ie Telecom, Entra and Mobile).
* Establish and enforce best practices and standards for networking deployment and operations.

Delivery and Operations:

* Drive deployment and operations of the network infrastructure across 600+ branch locations and growing; ensuring reliability, scalability, and optimal performance.
* Lead initiatives to integrate, configure, and manage Fortinet security and networking solutions, including firewalls, switches, and SD-WAN, to meet corporate security standards and improve network efficiency.
* Drive innovation and optimization by identifying network performance improvements, trends, advancements and reducing operational costs.
* Maintain accurate network documentation.
* Ensure network systems are compliant with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements, including data protection and cybersecurity measures.
* Build a partnership with Security teammates to ensure synergies, best practices, and alignment for networking efforts.

Partner Management: 

* Strong understanding of contract management, moderate level of negotiation skills, ability to plan long term strategies.
* Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to maintain and enhance network equipment, including negotiations and support for multiple brands, mergers / acquisitions, and equipment lifecycle management.

Budgets:

* Manage budgets to include monthly/annual spend, allocations, cost savings and new costs.
* Ability to use various allocation methods for business usage chargebacks.

Qualifications:

The Experience You Will Bring (Minimum Requirements):

Education, Certifications, Tools

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; 
Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE, POE, IPv4, HTTP, DNS, DHCP, SDWAN, Network+),
and network management protocols (IP, FTP, SNMP, BGP, SMTP).
* 8+ years of experience in network engineering with at least 3 years in a management role overseeing multiple locations.
* Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet products (FortiGate, Forti Switch, Forti Analyzer, etc.), including configuration, troubleshooting, and management.
* Proficient in networking protocols, VPNs, SD-WAN, VLANs, firewalls, and routing protocols.

Knowledge & Experience 

* Proven track record of implementing large-scale secured, network infrastructures
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and lead a team in a dynamic environment.
* Excellent analytical, written and oral communications skills, and organizational skills.
* Ability to adapt to evolving technology and industry best practices.
* Experience in the service industry or with large, multi-location networks.
* Experience with cloud networking solutions and hybrid infrastructures.
* Knowledge of automation tools for network configuration and monitoring.
* Experience in next gen networks (i.e. Zero Trust).
* Experience with large company environments is preferred.

Work Environment:

* This opportunity is an onsite role to optimize relationship building, collaboration and visibility for the function.
* We require commuting to our primary campus located at 2170 Piedmont Rd., Atlanta, GA 30328. (Top candidates already resided in the Atlanta metro area as this role does not offer relocation).
