As Director of Global Product Quality, you will lead the strategy and execution of quality initiatives, ensuring our systems, processes, and products meet and exceed compliance and customer expectations. In partnership with cross-functional teams, you will drive continuous improvement, Six Sigma methodologies, and best practices to enhance quality, reliability, safety, and efficiency across Hayward's global operations.
Responsibilities:
Quality Systems & Compliance:
* Develop and maintain a Global Quality Management System (QMS) that upholds industry standards and regulatory requirements.
* Champion harmonized, data-driven quality strategies across operations, R&D, engineering, and supply chain.
* Implement internal audit programs, provide actionable feedback, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Continuous Improvement & Six Sigma:
* Lead the integration of Six Sigma principles and Lean methodologies to improve processes, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze quality metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Product Lifecycle Quality:
* Partner with R&D and production teams to assess quality impacts of new product introductions and significant product changes.
* Drive quality feedback throughout the product lifecycle to support successful product launches.
Customer-Focused Quality Leadership:
* Address customer satisfaction issues proactively, resolve quality concerns, and communicate solutions effectively.
* Foster strong customer partnerships to ensure alignment and confidence in Hayward's products.
Leadership & Reporting:
* Develop global quality objectives and provide meaningful reports on performance, metrics, and compliance status.
* Serve as a trusted advisor, coaching teams and influencing leaders across multiple manufacturing platforms.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Quality, or related field preferred).
* 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with 7+ years in quality assurance or regulatory roles.
* Experience leading QMS implementation, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma projects.
Technical Expertise:
* Recognized quality management certification (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer/Manager/Auditor).
* Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification (strongly preferred).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools (e.g., MS Projects, Minitab).
Leadership & Skills:
* Exceptional communication, collaboration, and presentation abilities.
* Proven skills in problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Shainin) and technical coaching.
* A track record of driving cultural change and continuous improvement.
* Ability to influence and align diverse, global teams.
