Responsibilities:

What You'll Do:

* The Director, Futures Technology Division will research, develop, plan, and implement a technology roadmap that aligns with both our customer and company's business needs, to deliver optimal return on investment, and place V2X at the forefront of innovation and applied technology insertion.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervisory Responsibilities:
* Design and develop the Futures Technology Department.
* Oversee significant technology roadmap modernization projects and work with industry leaders to achieve strategic milestones across the company.
* Leads efficient operation of a distributed team of technology thought leaders so that modernization activities and technology roadmaps are performed on schedule and aligned with strategic pursuits

* Responsibilities:
* 
* Successfully develops and implements the Technology Futures modernization strategy for V2X.
* Collaborates with members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and network of Chief Engineers to identify ways technology can drive achievement of business and financial goals.
* Identifies new technology developments across government and industry; anticipates resulting organizational modifications, and alignment with funded and emerging requirements.
* Ensures that the company human and networked infrastructure adequately supports the emerging technology roadmaps and makes recommendations to the VP of Technology and Innovation for IRAD investments to support these activities.
* Supports the development and implementation of the technology forum and works to upskill V2X employees on new and emerging tech around the globe.
* Communicates goals, projects, and timelines of the company to the Technology and Innovation Solution Architects; plans ways to execute those goals within all verticals of V2X.
* Establishes long-term technology needs and plans and develops strategies for developing systems and acquiring software and hardware necessary to meet those needs.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

* Education:
* Bachelor's degree with a focus in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

* Experience:
* Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in the administration of RDT&E systems engineering and technology, with increasing level of responsibility throughout.
* Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
* Demonstrated leadership of large, complex, multi-business RDT&E pursuits or scaled system rationalization and transformation efforts.
* Program management experience, including responsibility for cost, schedule and risk management.
* Experienced in managing forecasting and pursuit operations across both commercial and defense customer sets.
* Demonstrated success in leading the development of effective business cases.

* Other Requirements:
* United States citizenship required.
* Ability to travel to company and/or client sites up to 20%.
* Top Secret or Secret security clearance or ability to obtain a security clearance required.

Desired Qualifications

* Education:
* Doctorate or Master's in a technical discipline preferred.

* Certifications/Licenses:
* Certified System Engineer (Microsoft for example)
* Program Management Professional
* Certified Solutions Architect (AWS for example)
* Certified Enterprise Architect

* Experience:
* Technology leadership experience in a global, publicly traded company with annual review greater than $1B desired.
* Experience leading an RDT&E department/division with a proven track record of delivering either product or software to the end user.
* Experience performing as a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) preferred.

* Other Requirements:
* Top Secret security clearance desired.

* Change Management: Skilled in managing and guiding organizational change, including stakeholder engagement and communication strategies.
* Risk Management: Able to identify, assess, and mitigate technology risks associated with customer modernization projects, including security, compliance, and operational performance.
* Vendor Management: Expertise in evaluating, selecting, and managing relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
* Project Management: Proficiency in leading complex technology focused projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing, while ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
* Innovation Management: Capability to drive and manage innovation within the innovation and technology verticals, staying ahead of technological trends and leveraging emerging technologies.
* Customer Focus: Able to understand and address the needs of internal and external customers, ensuring technology solutions deliver value and improve user experience.
* Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards affecting technology adoption, such as data protection laws and Aerospace and Defense industry-specific requirements.
