Overview:
This role will oversee the strategy, operations, and performance of the local office, focusing on the development, deployment, and support of our Zebra products. This role is critical in ensuring the success of our products in the Sri Lankan market, driving growth, and maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Leadership management :
Directs and controls activities of two or more functional areas through several department managers or large teams, or manages significant functional discipline at a Business or regional level. Involved in strategic growth of a business.
Develops and establishes operational policies and practices in area managed. Accountable for and contributes significantly to profitability and/or cost containment through direct P&L responsibility.
Build, inspire, and develop a high-performing team, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability. Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless execution of projects and efficient office management.
Stakeholders and Market Engagement:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key partners, and stakeholders, understanding their needs and ensuring product satisfaction.
Drive initiatives to expand the company branding and footprint in Sri Lanka.
Represent Zebra in various tech forums and build a positive brand image for the company.
Lead and manage the local office, setting and executing strategies aligned with global objectives & priorities for product development and market presence.
Operation Excellence:
Manage the budget and financial performance of the Sri Lankan office, ensuring resources are effectively allocated.
Implement cost-control measures and optimize financial operations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and local regulations.
Provide training and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and career growth.
Reporting and Communication:
Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on office performance, product developments, employee feedback, and market trends.
Communicate company vision, product updates, and strategic goals effectively to the local team and stakeholders.
Be the voice of leadership and foster positivity during challenging times
Exceptional negotiation skills and supplier relationship management. Extensive expertise in product, technology, service, strategy, and business complexities
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or MBA preferred.
Experience:
Extensive experience in a senior management role within an IT product company, with a proven track record in leading product teams and managing operations.
Demonstrated experience in product management, including product development, deployment, and lifecycle management.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to drive performance and foster a collaborative environment.
Deep understanding of product strategy, market dynamics, and customer needs.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Proficiency in financial management and budget oversight.
Other:
Knowledge of the Sri Lankan market and local business environment.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving industry landscape.
