Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Behavioral Health is accountable for assisting in the development, implementation and management of strategic behavioral health programs/initiatives for the ministry across the care continuum. Responsible to work closely with the OSF Healthcare CNO and Clinical Education for the development of behavioral health education for the care continuum. This role will be accountable for planning and developing a system of care plan for OSF Healthcare and responsible to partner with regional/facility leaders on the development and implementation of that plan.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
* Master's or Doctoral degree in behavioral health sciences, nursing, healthcare administration or an MBA with related healthcare experience.
Experience:
* 5 years of experience in behavioral health services.
* Experience in creating or enhancing a community image of a clinical program through education, public speaking, marketing, brochures and relationship development.
Other skills/knowledge:
* A track record as an experienced "program/service line leader" who has achieved positive results in business/operations management, new program development and implementation, physician collaboration and financial performance.
* Excellent physician relations' skills; the ability to develop trust and credibility with physicians.
* Ability to identify issues and problems; can proactively implement strategies and resolutions in a logical and timely manner.
* A passion for service and a commitment to service excellence.
* Has an executive presence and offers firm directions and decisiveness in leaders
* Knowledge of the principles and practices of continuous process/performance improvement.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey information effectively in verbal and written communication and through group/business presentations.
* Knowledge of the healthcare industry in general, and mental health, specifically, and of the vision, values and strategies of OSF.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
* A personal presence which is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals and values of OSF and the Sisters of the Third Order of Saint Francis.
* Must demonstrate leadership competencies in development of behavioral health strategies and services that advance patient care and OSF goals.

Licensure/ Certification:
* Clincal Counselor License OR Clinical Soc Worker Lic OR IL Reg Nurse License
