Responsibilities: The Position: Direct management responsibility for product development, offerability and program definition activities in support of development programs with Airbus. Individual will work closely with key PAC stakeholders to facilitate definition of technical requirements, integration, and qualification of the hardware, software and dev/ops platform with Airbus. Individual will also have overall responsibility for implementing various business and operational aspects of the project, in conjunction with other stakeholder organizations (business development, legal, project management, FAL, etc). * Product Offerability and Development * Negotiate authorization to offer new products on Airbus aircraft; ensure Airbus catalog is accurate and current with respect to PAC products. * Ensure hardware, software, and system level design requirements meet Airbus installation, integration and certification requirements. * Negotiate schedule requirements in cooperation with Project Management and OEM Program Managers and facilitate completion and acceptance of applicable technical data. * Head of Version (HOV) Program Support * Provide technical expertise in support of sales campaigns regarding Airbus offerability and platform compatibility. * Lead coordination and support of Airbus technical coordination meetings (TCM and ITCM) for Panasonic programs in cooperation with Account Management and Program Management. * Technical Interface * Primary technical interface for Airbus program, engineering, and platform teams for emergent issues and escalations. * Facilitate alignment of technical specifications, requirements and compliance matrixes. * Facilitate coordination and implementation of applicable engineering processes and tools. * Responsible for planning and support of offerability integration testing in Airbus labs, particularly in Hamburg programs in cooperation with Account Management and Program Management * Business Management * Facilitate implementation of business and operational aspects of the project, in conjunction with other stakeholder organizations. Qualifications: What We're Looking For: * Ability to manage large scale projects with significant complexity. * Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with OEM, Panasonic internal engineering, suppliers, customers and a diverse range of supporting internal organizations via all methods of communication. * Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to successfully complete and deliver technical product or system project. * Ability to articulate product technical requirements for their implementation to Product Managers, engineering and structures. * Ability to evaluate and negotiate OEM technical and procedural requirements. * Ability to effectively influence multiple constituencies internally and externally without direct organizational management responsibility. * Proficient in the use of mainstream PC desktop applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, VISIO, Project, Doors, Synergy). * Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. * Ability to use independent judgment to ensure projects/assignments are completed accurately and on-time. * Bachelor of Science Degree, preferably in Engineering or Computer Science. * 10+ years product or system integration experience in the aerospace or related industry in engineering, software development, project engineering, systems engineering, or project management. Preferably direct experience with aircraft manufacturers. * Technical experience in the In-Flight Entertainment industry preferred. * Fluent English and German (French is a plus) * 5+ years staff management experience desirable * Ability to travel worldwide (30%), including weekends if necessary * Working Environment/Working Conditions: * Sedentary work. * Requires substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. * Requires close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
