The Devereux Florida center provides a professional therapeutic environment for children, adolescents and adults who face significant emotional, behavioral and developmental challenges. Currently hiring for our two metropolitian areas - Orlando, FL & Viera, FL.
As a DCP, you will also use your experience and education in Psychology, Sociology, Education or other related field to:
* Actively assist our individuals with their individualized plans for daily living and ensure our individuals are safe, healthy, and living in a clean environment.
* Assist with the planning, implementation, and documentation of programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
* Plan and participate in community outings, and schedule/transport our individuals to doctor's appointments, shopping trips, and day programs/schools.
* Be a mentor to other staff and conduct observations and provide feedback for required trainings.
Position Details:
Salary: Starts at $17.48 - $20.47 / hour PLUS additional compensation: Shift differential (up to $2.00 / hour). Relevant experience in field (up to $2.00 / hour). Credit for higher education
Shifts: Currently hiring for 2nd (3:00pm to 11:00pm) and 3rd shift (11:00pm - 7:00am). Must be able to work weekends. For full-time, you will be required to work Friday, Saturday and Sundays. For part-time, you will be required to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday).

Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in the areas of psychology, sociology, social work, education or other related field is required or High School diploma with 12 years of Human Service experience.
* Previous expereince preferred (not required) working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders.
* Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
* Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Screen, Physical, and TB Test.
* Valid driver's license - Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Must be able to drive a car and a passenger van (which holds up to 15 passengers).
