Position Purpose

The Digital Taxonomy and Operations Specialist role supports the merchandising components and product information across Raley's Companies' Digital Commerce experience as outlined by the Digital Commerce Experience Sr. Manager. 

Responsibilities:

How This Role will Make a Difference

* Supports the operational functionality of the Digital Commerce platform operations and communications.
* Administers databases of product images, descriptions, and metadata to ensure accuracy, relevancy, and effectiveness of product descriptions, nutrition labels, and pictures.
* Organizes, sorts, and creates product collections in alignment with marketing campaign briefs.
* Adheres to CMS naming conventions, copy, and image styles.
* Reviews customer experience surveys and researches any relevant questions/concerns.
* Owns the digital weekly ad experience across the enterprise.
* Oversee the configuration and management of product groupings and naming conventions for weekly promotions.
* Conducts comprehensive audits of pricing accuracy and product availability across digital platforms.
* Enhances the discoverability of weekly ad content by optimizing search functionality.
* Optimizes search functionality across Digital Commerce platforms.
* Manages and refines product metadata-including keywords, synonyms, titles, images, and descriptions-to improve search engine performance and user experience.
* Develops and maintains logical product categorization structures to support intuitive navigation.
* Conducts competitive research and marketplace analysis to identify opportunities for performance improvement.
* Coordinates the capture, organization, and maintenance of high-quality product imagery.
* Evaluates the digital platform's operations and identify changes to improve database performance. Provides analysis and assists with testing, deployments, and analytics.
* Conducts thorough investigations into platform issues, providing detailed reports and actionable recommendations for resolution.
* Supports the execution of digital projects, including system updates, feature deployments, and platform testing initiatives.
* Analyzes the end-to-end digital customer journey to uncover insights that drive customer loyalty, improve user experience, and increase eCommerce sales.
* Leads the review and interpretation of customer feedback surveys, translating insights into strategic improvements in product availability and the digital shopping experience.
* Develops and maintains key metrics and analytics to communicate shopper marketing growth and engagement to stakeholders. 
* Oversee shopper marketing budgets and revenue targets across all operating companies, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
* Defines and implements key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of shopper marketing campaigns.
* Leverages site and application analytics to conduct in-depth post-campaign performance analysis and reporting, driving data-informed decision-making.
* Collaborates with cross-functional teams-including merchandising, digital, and analytics-to continuously refine and optimize shopper marketing strategies across all Raley's divisions.

Education & Experience

* Bachelor's Degree in a related field. 
* 3-5 years' experience working in an Omni-retail environment.
* Knowledge of product taxonomy and digital merchandising preferred.

Skills & Abilities

* Strong analytical, critical, and interpretative thinking skills. 
* Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including critical functions and working with large data sets.
* Basic understanding of Photoshop preferred, not required. 
* Ability to thrive under pressure, be self-motivated, and be results-oriented.

* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to present results and solutions.

* Experience with basic image editing and resizing product photography.

 Physical Demands - Employees may occasionally experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:

* Sitting, frequent sedentary work
* Viewing computer monitor
* Keyboarding, the use of fingers to make small movements such as typing and mouse usage.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a typical office environment; it requires occasional travel for site visits and meetings.
