Now Hiring: PRN Registered Dietitian - Novant Health
Novant Health is seeking a flexible and patient-focused PRN Registered Dietitian to support nutrition services across multiple facilities in southeastern North Carolina. This role may provide both remote and in-person coverage based on departmental needs.
Coverage areas include:
* New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHNHRMC)
* Scott's Hill Medical Center
* Pender Memorial Medical Center
* Brunswick Medical Center
* New Hanover Ortho Medical Center
This PRN opportunity is ideal for a dietitian who enjoys variety, collaboration, and the ability to work across diverse patient populations and care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform nutrition assessments and follow-up evaluations
* Provide medical nutrition therapy and patient education
* Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
* Document nutrition interventions in the electronic medical record
* Support inpatient clinical nutrition operations as needed

Qualifications:
* Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Bachelors in dietetics, nutrition, foods and nutrition.
* Graduate Degree, preferred.
* Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Clinical Dietitian, preferred.
* Licensure/Certification: Registered Dietitian status by the commission on Dietetic Registration, required.
* Licensed Dietitian in appropriate state, required.
* Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Knowledge, ability and skills to support patient education and patient engagement in self-care management to accommodate cultural diversity, age specific or behavior needs among the patients being served.
* Additional Skills (preferred): Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to relay information to diverse audiences for one-on-one consultations, small and large group presentations; dynamic presence for media interviews, health fairs and other invited presentations/appearances.
