Overview: Shift: 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM (3 days per week) We are seeking a Dietitian to collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team in delivering comprehensive nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy aligned with patient care goals. This role utilizes the Nutrition Care Process to assess, diagnose, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. The dietitian also supports performance improvement initiatives, manages resources efficiently, and maintains professional competency in accordance with established standards of care and practice guidelines. Responsibilities: * Provide medical nutrition therapy using the Nutrition Care Process (assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring, and evaluation) and document in the electronic medical record * Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans, including diet modifications, supplements, nutrition support, and patient education * Monitor patient progress using clinical indicators (labs, weight, outcomes) and adjust care plans accordingly * Deliver nutrition education to patients, families, staff, and community using tailored materials and approaches * Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, participate in rounds/meetings, and communicate with providers to optimize care * Support training of staff, students, and new hires; contribute to policy updates and quality improvement initiatives Qualifications: Education: * After January 1, 2024 - Master's degree in dietetics or degree that meets the requirements of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required. * Individuals credentialed as Registered Dietitians prior to January 1, 2024, are eligible with a Bachelor's degree in dietetics or degree that meets the requirements of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required. * Successful completion of an internship coordinated undergraduate program, or post graduate program accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required. Experience: * Preferred: One year of experience as an acute clinical dietitian for entry level practice or 3+ years' experience as an acute dietitian for advanced level practice. License(s)/Certification(s): * Lic Dietitian - Must hold a current license or certification specific to the state of employment * IADHHS - Iowa Department of Health and Human Services * IDFPR - Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation * Wisconsin * Reg Dietitian required * CDR - Commission on Dietetic Registration * Preferred: Cert Diabetic Educator * NCBDE - National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators * Preferred: Certified Nutrition Support Clinician * NBNSC - National Board of Nutrition Support Certification * Preferred: Board Certification Specialty from CDR in: * Oncology Nutrition * Gerontology Nutrition * Renal Nutrition * Pediatrics Critical Care Nutrition * IA/IL Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care required within 90 days of hire. * IA/IL Adult Dependent Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care required within 90 days of hire. *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs.
