Job Summary:

* Provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department. 
* Perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining the sensitivity to patient needs. 
* Demonstrates leadership abilities and is a role model for other associate technologists. 
* Acts as a clinical resource to unit personnel and assures current standards of practice for the unit.
* Performs a variety of ultrasound procedures including, but not limited to, abdominal, pelvic, OB, head, extremity, retroperitoneal, small parts and vascular. May perform cardiac procedures as required by entity. 
* Practices all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety, reducing personal and patient exposure to "as low as reasonably achievable"(ALARA).* Produces quality images in a complete, accurate and timelymanner. 
*  Performs IV starts and contrast administration as required.
* Correctly inputs charges and required data for procedures and for supplies utilized during the procedure/exam.
* Prepares patient for exam. Provides information and instruction to patient and/or family regarding the procedure and responds to their physical and emotional needs.

This is a PRN position (5 shifts scheduled in a 6-week period). This position is used to cover call-offs, vacations, and where coverage may be needed. PRN is not eligible for benefits but does offer a 15% differential on top of the base rate of pay.

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: 

* HS Diploma or GED required
* ARDMS - registered required RDMS(OB/GYN) or (AB) or (BR);

* or ARRT registered R.T.(S)(ARRT) or R.T.(S)(BS)(ARRT) or ARDMS registered RVT(VT) with OB or ABD required within 1 year or hire, or ARRT registered - R.T.(S)(VS)(ARRT)
* or ARDMS registered RDCS(AE) or (PE) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS)

* Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association required

Physical Requirements-Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly
