Responsibilities: As a Detention Security Officer - Mobile Patrol in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations with strong communication and customer service. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue06:00 AM - 06:00 PMThur06:00 AM - 06:00 PMSun06:00 AM - 06:00 PM What You'll Do: * Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government location. * Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel in accordance with site protocols. * Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations. * Monitor access points and movement within assigned areas, verifying credentials, controlling entry and exit activity, and reporting unusual behavior, contraband concerns, and/or security-related hazards. * Support daily operations by completing required logs, incident reports, and communication with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related matters. Minimum Requirements: * A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located. * Be at least 21 years of age. * Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
