Responsibilities:

EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Desktop Support IT Administrator in our Hughes Network Systems division. This role provides a single point of contact for end users to receive support and maintenance within the organization's desktop computing environment. This position will be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD.  

Key Responsibilities: 

* Executive and end-user desk side support and/or training.
* Installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC hardware and equipment
* Troubleshoot and support Windows 7,10 and 11, Office 365 applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Drive, and Teams.
* Troubleshoot AV and VPN solutions.
* Managing PCs using Active Directory 
* Troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, Teams, or via email)
* Image and set up laptops and desktops for new hires using SCCM.
* Install, maintain, and upgrade workstations and software.
* Evaluate computer hardware and software.
* Participate in migrations and enterprise-wide upgrades.
* Install, configure, diagnose, repair, and upgrade hardware and other equipment while ensuring its optimal performance.
* Travel between our 3 facilities in Maryland as needed.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

* Associate's degree in an IT-related discipline or a combination of education and experience
* 5 years of related desk-side technical support experience
* 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows and Office 365.

Skills and Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
* Microsoft Certification.
* Experience in troubleshooting network components between system segments.
* Experience using Intune, Network Printers, Tablets and Scanners and Active Directory.
* Knowledge of remote access and anti-virus tools.
* Ability to perform complex technical tasks and analysis.
* Maintain and troubleshoot infrastructure, hardware, and systems connectivity.
* Understand FTP, Trace route, Telnet, remote login, and other related commands.
* Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
* Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
* Acute attention to detail and strong organizational skills; ability to manage priorities and workflow, and commitment to excellence and high standards.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to lift computer and LCD equipment.

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
