This position is hybrid, with a home base in Winston-Salem, NC. Regular on-site work and travel between Winston-Salem, Charlotte, and Wilmington are required.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will serve as the owner's representative, supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of design and construction projects across Novant Health. You'll play a key role in keeping projects organized, on track, and aligned with operational needs.
You will:
* Coordinate multiple design and construction projects from initiation through completion
* Support the logistics of opening new hospitals, patient care areas, and facility expansions
* Assist with planning and execution of building moves, relocations, and space re-allocations
* Partner with internal teams, vendors, and software systems to schedule meetings, track progress, and maintain clear communication
* Proactively schedule and lead coordination calls, including with software and support teams, to keep projects moving forward
* Prepare and maintain project documentation, including Project Authorization Requests and the Master Project List
* Assist with real estate activities such as leasing coordination and site investigations
* Track timelines, identify risks, and help resolve issues in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
* Ensure construction documents and drawings are accurate and up to date using AutoCAD and other tools
Qualifications:
Education:
* Bachelor's degree required
* If degree is outside of Construction Management, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field, 7 years of relevant experience is required in addition to the degree
Experience (Required):
* Minimum of 3 years of architectural or building engineering CAD drafting experience
* Proficiency in AutoCAD for producing construction documents for institutional, commercial, or other complex building projects
* Experience in coordinating and managing multiple computer-based CAD projects and other assignments with proven ability to meet goals and deadlines.
Additional Skills:
* Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable asking questions to move work forward
* Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work across teams
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well under pressure
* Experience with healthcare or institutional construction projects
* Knowledge of Revit or other advanced design software
* Familiarity with healthcare regulations or building codes
