Location: Ukraine | Reports to: Finance Director | Work Arrangement: Hybrid | Visa Requirements: Valid working visa for Ukraine | Language Requirements: Fluent/professional Ukrainian and English, written and verbal
As our new Deputy Head of Finance, you will oversee the full scope of accounting operations and IFRS reporting for Ukraine and Kazakhstan, to ensure timely accurate closing periods. With your combined technical accounting expertise, strong business acumen, and detail-oriented mindset, you will bring structure to complex financial operations while improving processes and collaborating across functions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the accounting function to ensure an efficient closing period under the local GAAP
* Independently perform IFRS period closing duties on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
* Process transactions, accruals, calculations and IFRS adjustments
* Compile IFRS reporting packages and provide comprehensive explanations to stakeholders
* Closely partner with the CFO on budgets, forecasts, financial analysis and cash management
* Work with ERP systems, while leading or contributing to financial system improvement projects
* Drive a proactive and business-oriented approach to financial and operational excellence
Qualifications:
* Solid and hands-on experience with IFRS closing
* Extensive experience managing accounting teams
* In-depth ERP systems experience, where implementation or improvement expertise is an advantage
* High degree of independence, ownership, and accountability
